She began her career in an orthopedic sports medicine clinic, working with adults and athletes presenting a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries. To further enhance her skills and provide the highest quality of care, she pursued additional training in manual therapy. Pediatrics & Assistive DevicesDriven by a longstanding passion for pediatrics, Megan joined the MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre in 2012. There, she worked with children born with physical and cognitive disabilities and collaborated closely with a multidisciplinary team to support these children and their families in reaching their full potential. Her role at Mackay included teaching children how to ride a bike, skate, and helping infants achieve key developmental milestones. Megan also gained extensive experience with assistive devices and adaptive equipment such as orthotics, AFOs, standing frames, gait trainers, and wheelchairs. Independent Practice & Focus AreasSince 2021, Megan has been practicing independently, focusing on both pediatric and geriatric populations. She has developed particular expertise in treating infants with plagiocephaly and torticollis. As a mother of three, she has gained a deep understanding of typical child development and developmental milestones, which has further enriched her practice. Her personal experience has shaped her into a highly empathetic and patient therapist, dedicated to supporting both her young clients and their families. Active LifestyleMegan has a lifelong love of sports and physical activity. She grew up playing various sports, including competitive hockey, and continues to lead an active lifestyle through triathlons, running, and strength training. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and often goes hiking with friends and loved ones. Megan strongly believes in the importance of an active lifestyle for both mental and physical well-being and is deeply committed to helping her clients return to their pre-injury level of activity as quickly and safely as possible. |
